Mixed martial arts (MMA) star Francis Ngannou
will return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC)
according to his Nigerian counterpart Israel Adesanya.
Ngannou slammed the door of the most
largest MMA organization in the world in January after
having failed to reach a new agreement with the UFC on a
new contract, and recently joined his great rival of
the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
The 36-year-old Cameroonian was fighting in the category
UFC heavyweights, and was the champion at the time
of his departure from the organization, including President Dana
White said Ngannou will never fight again
for the UFC.
However, Adesanya, current and two-time UFC champion
middleweight, thinks Ngannou will eventually come back
Nevertheless.
“I am proud of him because his story is unique,
even before he was in the UFC,” Adesanya told
MMA Hour, according to the Daily Mail.
“The story is not over yet, everyone has
need to relax and observe. Everybody want
be the first. It's not a guy who quits. Dana has
said stuff in the past (about women who have
never faught in the UFC). Look where we are
NOW!
“I think he will do his thing and come back.
Then they will pay him what he deserves, what he has earned.
because they abused him for a long time.
Ngannou's contract with the PFL will allow him
also to indulge in boxing.
